This is starting to look insane. We have a small army going here...I think I'm going to bow out and bring back Golinar from his (brief) retirement instead. Maybe I can join up in the future when you guys have gained a few levels. I know I'm missing out. Have fun!

It only looks insane on paper. I am excited about all the enthusiasm etc. but the reality is that bigger groups crossing timezones can really make for a task like "herding cats." I know nothing about what the party motivations will be, but you never know what the background will end up for maybe groups of people who make "most" sessions, some who make "some" sessions, but for there to all be a reason that will make sense. Like a thieves' guild hideout where 5 people always at and 4 keep cycling in and out with some level of discomfort, or a warehouse for some hard-pressed coster where there's 6 really steady employees and 3 who visit sometimes as extra muscle, or 2 guys who live at a wizard-employer's tower, a gang of 5 thieves who have allied with them, and 2 clueless law and order types... who knows?

Guys, I think I am going to switch to an Elf Rogue/Fighter on account of the only reason for me to play the gnome -- the stabbing of Rumple's clown character -- is no longer applicable.

I agree it may very well be insane and I may have to thin the herd a bit. However we don't really know until we start, so I encourage everyone to show up and see what happens. There will be ample opportunity to remove PCs from the party in the first few sessions, by death or otherwise.

The campaign will start with the PCs being sold in a slaving auction in Skaug. So if you want to work how your PC got enslaved into his or her backstory, please do so. If not I will provide a narration for it.
