Hello there!
I was told this might be a good place for a Noob dwarf to begin his quest for spiritual fulfillment.
He would prefer dwarf spirits, but just about any mead will do.
I look forward to meeting friends new and old!

It depends. I think that most Dwarven characters tend to be created along The Silver Marches(TSM), but I would recommend either Baldurs Gate(BG) or MoonShaes(MS) for now as they have the greatest spread of players and quite active servers in general. MS Dms might be somewhat worn out after the festival, but they should be fine after some kebab and rest

If morning hours (esp early morning) in your time zone then, absolutely. Thorin has alot going on.
So far, there isn't so much in the Ohio evenings and nights. But players attract DMs and vice versa!
As for Rumple's Saturday campaign, well, they just split. Literally: most went to MS and the rest went to WHL. Both as part of the campaign. They will be back eventually, however.

Re: A good server for a Noob Dwarf?
If I survive my wanderings till they return, I look forward to having a blast!
It has been a long time since fighting a single boar caused my heart to skip a beat. Permadeath is so...final.
(btw, it was very nostalgic to return a dead PC's corpse to the Temple of the Red Brother. I used to do that all the time on TLR before I became a DM. It tidies up the landscape, but causes the aroma of the Temple to suffer ).

Damn! I just gave up on the dorf group like 2 months ago. Couldn't get critical mass for it.illialid wrote:Hello there!

Anyway..... TSM is good for dwarfs, but has a significant downside that Citadel Felbarr has no static content, is far away from the rest of the server hubs (Silvy and Rivermoot), and the path to/from is so deadly as to significantly cut down on PC survivability.
