Hello and a quick question...

Post by diagnull »

Hey everyone, I just got my app approved and look forward to joining everyone online.

One thing I was wondering (that I didn't see in the FAQ or Manual)...if our PC dies and no one resurrects them, are we able to create a new PC?

Thanks!

Yes. Resurrections are unlikely so most deaths result in rolling a new PC up. You can always choose to retire a PC and start over as well. Welcome to ALFA. 8)

Welcome indeed, and HEEGZ is correct. In all likelyhood you will be rolling up several PCs in ALFA, it's the nature of the beast. :axe:

Please don't let us discourage you though, with real death comes real excitement!

Welcome!

Don't solo, play smart and you'll live. Match up your times with that of a DM.

If it's a balanced encounter, it's one of the caster's better spells, and you're a monk, cleric, or druid? 50%

If you're a wizard, sorcerer or bard? 60%

If you're anything else? 70%+

(all of those are + or - 10%ish, 'course, depending on exact stats and gear. Moral of the story is that you better have a friend handy to save yer arse when you fail that will save. :D)
