Names Toshiko, here at least :). I'm a Swedish girl in my early twenties who studies biology during the day and RP and play MMOs during the evenings/nights. Just wanted to say hi and that I'm exited to finally being able to play ALFA with my friends already here.
See you on the other side, so to speak.

Hi, Just remember:

1. Everyone is here to help you (even if sometimes they tease)

2. IRC is usually the best way to get help or ask pressing present questions about character building or tech issues. A Forums PM is second. Asking DMs game stuff ingame should be a last resort or something pressing related to their dming. Though asking players for help ingame can be helpful in a pinch.

3. It something does not go the way you planned or you need clarity on a subject or policy and you do not want to ask a DM, as our PA Danielmn.

4. Characters here are best enjoyed as social characters. If you make an anti-social character out of the box, there is a 50-50 chance they won't get much real interation and player characters won't reacch out. If you make a more general character you can build upon it and develop traits like being anti=social from ingame responses to ingame events. This gives you a chance to roleplay with other characters and enjoy roleplaying ingame. :squee:

5. Alfa is not a solo player MMO game where you can wander around and farm XP. For some this is a hard adjustment because of the online format. But what it does offer is a world of D&D style roleplay with unpredictable and creative events with real people from around the world. That and the ability to contribute and make palpable chancges to those worlds.

I hope you take your time and enjoy yourself. In the end with some natural ingame caution a character can live a long happy life. :balloons:

Tsk, learn to count :P.

Anyway, welcome!

As was pointed out, don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, though I'm sure your swedish veteran friends will ease you into the game nicely.

Cheers,
