DMA Election - April 2020 - no majority for Heero

Post by Veilan »

Rounding out the set, we now come to the DMA. In theory this thread is for the DMA election for the period April - August 2020.

As you might have guessed, I will hold this election as laid out in this LA election, so if either:

a) A candidate declares
b) The incumbent steps down
c) A reasonable demand for a vote of confidence is communicated to me

If for you are a person who cannot /does not want to do one of these, but you still think going through the motions is of vital importance, just shoot me a PM or chat me up in discord.

So as usual, no action need be taken by any party if you are content with things continuing as they are.

I am not lazy, I am efficient 8).

Cheers,

Re: DMA Election - April 2020 - Self-nominations

Post by Veilan »

With a candidate having stepped forward, I am opening a seven day self-nomination period as cut-off for other parties who may wish to declare. This includes the incumbent who must self-nominate if they wish to contest this election instead of sighing with relief.

Please only post here if you wish to nominate yourself for the position of DMA. All members in good standing are eligible to serve, the DMA voting constituency is all DMs, Admin & vote-enabled staff heads.

Alright,

with Heero running unopposed, he needs a simple majority of votes to be elected into office.

Polls run for four days. DMs, staff heads & Admin get to vote. The vooting booth is over yonder, socially distanced from this thread:

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Cheers & happy voting,

With an as of yet unanimous "nay" being cast, I'll offer to continue serving as DMA.

With 1:6 votes, Heero is eligible to try again for DMA no earlier than Aug 2020 (the earliest point at which a new election cycle can be attributed to the Oct 2020 DMA election).

With no other challenger having declared, shad0wfax will remain in office until somebody declares and triggers a fresh election cycle (or steps down).

Thanks to Heero for volunteering and to shad0wfax for soldiering on.
