Good! In the process of swapping over to a better jerb atm, so looking forward to that outcome. How's you?!

What a coincidence, me too. Well, OK, I am not quite that far along - I am trying to leave the law for a different career, but the application process for the job I want is long and complicated. I applied late last year and I am in the middle of the application process now. I probably won't know for several more months, but if I get it, no more being a lawyer. If not, I will apply elsewhere. Hopefully I will be able to say adios to being a lawyer sometime in the next year, but we shall see. Everything is a long-shot at this point.

@Stormy: *I* could use a hand learning about drow again! I have forgotten soooo much, its really kind of sad. Being a nerd who spoke drow once upon a time is embarassing enough, but being a nerd who once spoke drow and can no longer do it - its even worse! Gah! ;)

I can't promise anything - can't even promise I'll be on the boards tomorrow - but if my son moves back to Texas, its possible I will have spare time. I don't want him to go, but it looks like it will happen. C'est la vie.

I am quite suprised and happy to see that alot of old players who left still read the forums. I would like to invite them back to the GAME :D

Less forum, more game!

Well, I am reading the forums today. Can't say I've haunted this place in a long time. I think I've made short appearances here twice before in the years after I've left, mostly to say hi. As for forums vs. game, ALFA has always been (for many of us) 9 parts forum and 1 part game. Hell, a lot of the best drama isn't on the servers, but here in the forums. ;) If I spent as much time in game as I did on the forums, I'd have probably beat MStaley's Hignar to the level 20 mark, but alas, twas never to be.

Ha, too funny DD! And yes Mags, now that you're here I am sure the drama will soon resume. And just for the record, ECL sucks and all you surface players just hate us because we're beautiful!! ;)

I'm pretty sad no one rose to the PC level bait. I mean it was a true statement of one reason why I don't play anymore but was hoping for more.

Back in your day they let noobs like me in, so the whole 'don't know how to play' thing is hardly an issue :D

If you want constructive responses, don't try to bait people with negativity.
First Character: Zyrus Meynolt, the serene Water Genasi berserker. "I am the embodiment of the oceans; serene until you summon the storm." Zyrus: http://tinyurl.com/9emdbnd

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

Too funny. And foambats4all, I fully support your "No pants" platform.

Swift: I don't remember you ever really being a n00b. There were probably some other choice words I had for you from time to time, but I don't recall n00b ever being one of them - you always seemed pretty competent to me (except when we disagreed of course, in which case you were clearly just being an a$$hat - ;) j/k of course, its nice to see you still hanging around as well).

GF: Little did you know, but you became an NPC in my on-going pen-n-paper D&D game. The NPC is a guardsman, nicknamed "Cheese", who starts out as young, inexperienced, but intelligent and condescending smart-ass but eventually, thorugh bloody experience, matures into an intelligent and cynical smart-ass.

Roll PCs or go. That's all I'm asking. Thanks zicada, you are a drunk bastard but on rare occasions that gives you a certain level of insight.
