Sourcebooks, which do you have?

Screwed up the first poll, 2nd try.

This will relate to the extent of the data which we will enter in NWN2. If most of our players have and read FR's sourcebooks, then there is less need to be sure that data is entered from it. But if they don't, we can print out common canon knowlege in a PC's journal entries, provide detailed descriptions of starting regions, deities, etc.

Check all the boxes that apply. Thanks!

Plus many of the "old" versions are FREE from Wizards...stuff like The North and Savage Frontier, most of Volo's guides etc.

I think having the info in game would be great. But then saying that, I'm sure it's a very low priority (rightfully so).

It is, but I've got more people able to do data-entry than those able to write code. If we can convert some PDFs into cut/pastable documents, it may not be so bad.

Owned or possess? I am not certain this poll takes into account those that have sourcebooks (or versions of them) aquired through not entirely legal means :D

Well, if there are people willing and able to do this (who don't have more important things to do), I would vote for go ahead! I know we're planning on incorperating a lot of basic information for players on the OAS, but it would be even better having these things Live.

I've got most of them but I think it's impossible to know it all by heart.

So, I'm for putting as much at the fingertips of players as is appropriate. Canon Journals would be great. OR, alternatively, to actually populate books ON canon that can be read IG (in a library for instance).

I own many of the 3e FR books. I also have them on dpf, but because I have bought the book, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if I had a copy on my computer. 8)

Though, with various legal and illegal sources on the Net, we all possess all of them...

so...how ya gonna interpret the results here? cuz they don't make any sense, or at least not telling you what you want to know. You want to know how many have a book compared to nothing at all. This seems to tell us the proportion of votes for each item...it tells you how ownership is distributed across the books.
