Ready to start Book V of "The Cleric Quintet" and after that I am out of FR based texts.
I've read Dark Elf and all the Drizzt stuff, Avatar, Spider Queen, & Elminster series.
What next?

I'm not really widely read as far as FR books, as I tend to find them (and most fantasy literature) of less than stellar quality. However imo Elaine Cunningham's books are good. The cormyr Dragon trilogy was highly recommended by some, though it may be hard to find nowadays.

I highly recommend the Paul S. Kemp Twilight War and Erevis Cale Trilogy Series. Stumbled on these books and really enjoyed them. Very talented author IMO.

The first book of the Twilight War is actually downloadable from WotC:

Good plus fantasy very rarely mixes - a good fantasy book is, unfortunately, an exception not a rule.

Here are a few series not mentioned above that I personally enjoyed:
- Year of Rogue Dragons trilogy
- Return of the Archwizards trilogy
- Scions of Arrabar trilogy
- Pools trilogy
- Finder's Stone trilogy
- Moonshae trilogy
A few of those may be hard to find these days though.

Return of the Archwizards is okay until they decide the Shades are too powerful and make them all retarded in order to give the heroes a chance. The classic chaotic stupid tactic we all know and love.
If you want good fantasy you should be climbing out of the D&D book realm though. I've never read one that qualified, though the Planescape novel was decent.

From non-FR material, I would go for Raymond Feist " the Riftwar series " and David Eddings' " Sparhawk ". Even Katharine Kerr's series could qualify for quality fantasy reading imho

Haunted Lands Trilogy by Richard Lee Byers. Deals with Thay, and the Lich Szazz Tam taking over it.
Novels are surprisingly good for FR books.
Unclean
Undead
Unholy
