... over his shoulder a body.
He approaches Arkrem Arren, priest of Milil, and gently lays the body on the altar behind the priest. The body is in sad condition. The flesh gnawed off the bones in places, but oddly enough the face is untouched, the green eyes seem to sparkle still and the lips are turned up in a smile.
"Ken ya save 'im," he asks. "E's one o yer flock. A minstrel of great skill, voice an wit. Cullen's 'is name an e's a frien o mine. Come 'ere from Cormyr tagether many moons past."
The priest kneels in front of the altar, saying, "I know Cullen. He was a frequent visitor and he has indeed filled our small temple with cheer." He places one hand on Cullen's chest and the other over his own and says quiet prayers. Murgen waits silently, head bowed, hands clenched into fists, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet as the priest prays.
After a few minutes that seem like an eternity, the priest stands and shakes his head, saying softly, "Cullen has chosen to stay in the arms of Milil. He says that he tires of the struggles he has endured and looks forward to a more peaceful existence." Looking at Murgen, he continues, "He also says that he will miss your crude humor, but he will not miss the even cruder smell of your farts."
Murgen chokes back a sob and nods. "Aye," he says with a grin that grows wider as he speaks, "that would be Cul. Takin 'vantage o bein able ta get in tha last word. May 'e fin more peace wi 'is god 'en 'e did in life. I'll miss 'im dear, e'en if 'e were prone ta wearin all sort o silly thins. Purple armor? Wha does it say 'bout a man tha chooses ta wear purple armor? I'll tell ya wha it says. It says 'e don't give tha hair on Bane's shriveled balls wha ya think, 'es wearin purple armor!"
With that Murgen nods once to Arkrem Arren and strides from the temple, knowing that his friend has found peace at last.
//OOC: Cullen died in the Rat Hills. Twilighteyes does not want a rez, even if one is offered.

Also, Ayergo, Alora will gladly pay good coin (what little she has, that is.) to put a memorial plaque for Cullen in the Beer Golem.

There's a place I like to hide
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
A doorway that I run through in the night
Relax child, you were there
But only didn't realize and you were scared
It's a place where you will learn
To face your fears, retrace the years
And ride the whims of your mind
