Lieutenant Dan of Waterdeep's Fighting 5th Regiment (Foot) is looking for a group of adventurer's to guide him into and through the sewers in order to obtain information on the goblins' tactics and purposes. He will leave notice of the timing at the Safehaven.

After talking with Tragnar it was learned that the tragedy which saw Ponlin lost had involved a horde of undead. Put together with existing knowledge on goblin bosses, the adventurers set off to find Ponlin, and kill the goblin boss.

The goblin boss was killed. Ponlin remains in the sewers.

Last nights adventure failed to obtain a live goblin for questioning in the southern sewers

Our Foray into the sewers the second time below Blackwell brought us to the Lair of the Goblin Patriarch {Cleric} and his undead minions as well. With some effort they were all dispatched and though we were unable to find any trace of Polin we did accrue a goodly amount of gold and items from the place as well as a KEY to an unknown lock.

Marcus, Kalo, Badger and Hijo was wondering around the North Castle Ward area and was beset by thieves/bandits. After killing off several we tried to talk to them but they attacked anyway. Then a giant of a man orc came out of the shadows and attacked us. We killed him but it was not an easy fight. Marcus's armor was badly damaged and so was Kalo's. We left the area only to be attacked again by another man orc. This one would flee then attack again.. He wound up killing off several Waterdeep guards before we laid him low in the streets. Beware the northern districts at night.

Clarence sees himself as the current custodian of "Goblin-tapper" until a more worthy champion with a stronger arm comes along. Any adventurers who are committed to the defense of the city, and are resolute in action/deeds are encouraged to talk with Clarence on the matter.

Clarence also seeks fresh intelligence on the sewers, especially any sign of manacles/cages/slaves AND/OR otherworldly imp type things AND/OR animal droppings of unusual size that may belong to a goblin "dragon god" AND/OR any secret/locked doors AND/OR any Ponlins. A bounty is offered for any valuable information.

Zyxa spoke with Sarya at the AQ Watchpost about the orcblood that killed several watch members and who seemed to be allied with a group of thugs.

Sarya speculates that some Orcbloods may have fled into the city from the mountains after their villages were wiped out by recent Army action. She thinks they have found employment with some gangs in the city as enforcers. They are likely allied with some of the smaller gangs in the city who are trying to increase their power bases.

At this time, the city is not offering any reward beyond that offered for bring in thugs.

Toliv will be trying to find as many of his companions still around (alive?) for a very important gathering concerning the lost and abandoned children of Waterdeep. He has come across very important new information concerning this issue..... much of which might be related to other concerns the group has been working on as well....

The presumed secret entrance to the goblin slave-master has been found. A battle force is being readied to rescue both Ponlin and Marisha who were seen alive in cages.

Zyxa and Hijo are believed dead.

Rust monsters are believed to be kept by the slave master - he also keeps a pack of dogs, and may be riding one into battle (or a wolf/warg).

A giant of a half-orc has been spotted close to Safehaven Inn.

Steven the buggy driver saw him playing with a dead rat while wearing one on his head. Steven also mention paying the half-orc to stay away from his horse. (1gp) Upon paying the Half-orc he was seen prancing about squealing with glee while clutching the coin.

A recent raid into the sewers yielded not only the path to the goblin slavemasters, but two human babies and a feral elf woman.

Mymith Splendor, Weapon Master and Captain at Arms (for a fee) reports, "Surprisingly, the sewers appear to be infested with all manner of goblinKin, giant ant colonies, and toxic exploding oozes. Certainly not the environment for the novice adventurers, nor sadly, foolhearted nobility youth proving courage to pretty young debutants. I must, however, congratulate a trio of an intrepid guide, monk, and swordman on their great discipline and skill in dungeoneerring. I also admittedly forgot to pay for your services, and to make for this folly with increase the price of your commission. The noble family in question were extremely grateful for the risks you underwent to retrieve the body of their niave son. Your names have been submitted in noble circles for potential employment. As talk of a rescue mission mounts, Jack relays there has been increased black market traffic through the sewers. If any suspicious supplies are found, Jack knows how to dispose of them for the safety and security of all.
