After 4.0 is done next step is to try Skullport/Undermountain as a test platform for EE. It will be a good location for test chars to die. :)
Oh man, yes. Great place to die for sure.

Player dilution: that’s true, BUT it would be for a reason (hopefully getting more players). Hell, the community already has nwn2 diluting it. Anyway, how did having an OAS work before?

DMs knowing the mod: make it generic! Doesn’t have to be a specific location. Nearby are a crypt, a kobold cave, and a Zhent encampment. Done.

Just a place for throw away room concepts and new people.

I’d be willing to pay to have it hosted.
Currently laying the smackdown on Faerun as: Keryn Tel'Jora, who is XXX-TREME!!!.
Currently explaining the meaninglessness of it all as Vizian Nazyr.
Currently pointing out all other characters' shortcomings as Stephen the Archer.

I remember the OAS! Another one would be great. A place to play with different chars and to meet potential new players. Seeing they can roleplay, encourage them to join the Discord channel so they can link to the haks page and give them the password.

And yeah, someplace small like a trader encampment in the Anauroch or a struggling village outside of Icewind Dale.

As a lifelong advocate for allowing multiple PCs I am actually enjoying the one PC rule this time around. It is forcing me to become more dedicated to and immersed in the PC I am playing. My advice Gala is to do Rick's quest and then just slow down and get to know the other PCs better. As for said quest, I am willing to bet you could easily get a group of 5 to help out with it without even trying.

Once the quest is done, I know my new PC certainly could use some backup in his "training". Hang around the AQ and before you know it you will be off and running. That said, Toliv certainly would make a great NPC. Consider retiring him and just starting fresh.

If you want to retire after the plot, Toliv would be a great NPC for the keep and chapel of Solonor.
Jack volunteered to help. Pretty sure Wayfarer is available too. I was just waiting for someone to schedule the time.

Keryn would definitely help if there are at least a couple others and the time works out. My time is limited, sadly.

Murgen will go, but scheduling is definitely an issue.

More to the point, Galadorn, you are half way around the world, and not to be America-centric, but unfortunately that makes it really tough to find a time that works well for the majority of players ... and Rick as well. Weekdays seem difficult because your evenings are our mornings and I assume most people work then. So, it would probably have to be your morning and that wuld be hard on you.

Fridays are Ayergo's game night, so that rules out unless there is some sort of cross-server adventure (or Ayergo gives us a hall pass :p). Then there is the fact that anybody with a spouse/SO or whatever may not be able to give up another block of weekend time.

But let's see what can be done.
Retired NWN1: Murgen Kjarnisteinn (AKA Grumpy Scout)

NWN2 (Failed Experiment): Muir Cheartach, AKA The Pale Faced Pie Man

R.I.P.: Croaker Lyosbarr, Knight of Yartar, Lord of Lhuvenhead (NWN1)

Thanks for replies/suggestions all, it's all good.

I actually do run into a lot of PCs on during my own playtimes, since because of the timezone issue, and the fact that I mostly play during my MORNINGs, I do run into people often. Also the Friday night thing, is perfect since that is my Saturday morning, when I can dedicate at least 4-6 hours straight almost every weekend. Often on Sunday mornings also.

My problem was not the meeting up (as i'm so used to playing alone since 2003 I get over that quick), it was the 'Toliv'. Love him to death, but getting bored with him "sort-of" and I have a really challenging idea for my next guy - background written up, long term goals planned, brooding angry personality developed and practiced in front of the mirror for hours --

.....doesn't everyone verbate out loud in real time their PC when he/she sends IC dialogue in game? *shrugs*

I know bodies will come along on the rescue mission, but getting a time to do it when all are available is the issue. I'm never in a rush though, so maybe I can just post some potential "possible meeting times", which would certainly be my saturday or sunday mornings, and since that's your Friday and Saturday night, it seems possible to happen sooner than later. But again, i'm not in a rush.

Also Rick has been gracious enough to even run it solo with NPCs, lol, but no need for that. :)

There can only be 6. (due to the lethal traps and Toliv only has 6 "protective" magic devices each member must be wearing to avoid almost certain death on entry.... that's IC and posted already in Toliv's IC thread, which has been mentioned IC a few times to potential go-ers.)

I might suggest that whatever character you choose you pick someone with a more agreeable personality such that it is easier to group up with other people.

More agreeable than my next PC plan? Or more agreeable than Toliv? Cuz Toliv is a nice feller...

And the next plan is rough around the edges due to his upbringing and history, but soft and all "WW" on the inside.

My suspicion is this will be a serious impediment to playing with other people.

Not a big deal, just want you to be happy with your char choice! Especially if you are throwing in the towel on Toliv.

I have great plans for the Toliv NPC! After being attacked by invisible grizzly bears Toliv became mentally unstable and joined the Dragon cult and a cleric hunter of Tiamet, turning his powers and bow against his old friends of the forest and Waterdeep! After many sacrifice Toliv earned the right to become magically infused with a Dragon egg, and becoming a dragon himself, flying over the Ardeep Woods hunting for victims!

The only thing remaining is what color dragon? I am partial to mauve myself.
