Water Hazards and Swimming

While inside the Sea Cave today it seemed like Korsan's Swim speed would reduce round by round until he was reduced to a slow crawl.
Not sure if there is a bug with my character or the swimming script.

With gear he got his swim speed to 15 effect ranks, and he would start off fast, but every round he would gradually get slower and slower as if the swim speed was accumulating.

This oddity was not effecting the other PC's in the Party.

Quill with a swim speed of 4 was able to "run" swim.

Luther with a swim of 6 (thanks sealskin boots) was only able to "walk" swim. No armor worn.

This is what happened to Murgen during the session on Friday July 13th. He would start off at normal speed and end up at a crawl. Since I had no idea what swim was supposed to work like (and stated as much) I had no reason to think there was an issue. Suffice it to say that Murgen will never go swimming again.

Putting a rank in swim (trained) gives you a bonus. Not sure what is up with gradual slowdown, never had it for my test toons. Did it give you a message on percentage?

Everyround I would get a message claiming my speed was taking a 15% penalty, and just by eyeballing it, it appeared my character was moving 15% slower round after round till Korsan was at a slow motion heavy footed walk.

This is why we do not adventure in the Swamps of Sadness.

Round One: Fast Run Swim
Round Two: Run Swim
Round Three: Acceptable Walking Speed
Round Four: a Slower Walking Speed
Round Five: a Crawling Walking Speed

Korsan swam out to the corner there and back to the dry land from which he came, and was moving at a very slow crawl by the time he reached shore.

You are holding your breath messages only come up when waterbreathing potions or spells wear off. I think you are slowing down because of the length of time holding your breath. Apparently the code only recognizes underwater swimming.

Confirmed this is still an issue. When I logged yesterday and went to the Dripping Dagger, my followers are now down to 400. Jack must be getting worse with practice :)

Have you perhaps ever taken multiple contracts without performing right away?

I did that! I sleepily went to the Jade Jug by mistake and then when I went to the Hanged Man I lost 100 xp and my followers dropped to -62. And I got pelted with rotten lettuce. Pfft. Amateur Night.
Character arcs are sharp, pointy little things. A little blood may spill!

Now Playing: Luva Si'nede, Olivus Angustian
Past Characters: Valyar Floshin, Sarenna Irithyl, Millicent Riverstone, Dev Revels, Catarina Helms, Fenris Estelmer, Arryn Temple, Penrose Hawke, Kara Ravensfell, Arana Belecthor

Does the output message say something about thrown cabbage from upset fans?

Me? Nothing. There was just a line of Waterdavian women who paid good money when they heard Captain Jack would be on stage! They we're heartbroken when he didn't show up to complete his performance contract.

(Don't take contracts and not perform, stockpiling them for later date/cash in)
