Ok what an episode last night!

Lots of cool stuff went on and honestly I can finally see some resemblences to comic book stories like Kingdom Come by Alex Ross and X-Men "Days of Future Past" by Claremont and Byrne.

Did anyone see the tattoo on the sword and notice that its the same tattoo as on Jessica? Also, Hiro meeting his future self reminded me of a reverse Kitty pryde thing. She just ended up going back in time where he went forward in time when he was still not well versed in his powers.

Peter fighting sylar was great, but it didnt last long enough for me! Sylar once again gets away this time to kill the painter :(

Looking forward to seeing the next episode set in the future 5 years from the current time. Nathan in the White House and Mohinder as some chief scientist or something looked cool.

Btw, does anyone else think that Nathans mom, Hiros dad, Lindermann, and maybe a few more were the ones that lindermann was referring too when he talked about a group of friends who faught to make things right in the past, but some became corrupted? Almost like an early JLA or something :D

Anyway, great episode! Would love to hear others thoughts about it.

Great episode for sure Danu! Sylar's glass trick - totally cool! And I loved Claire saving "uncle" Peter. Syler's painting - crazy colors!

Right on Danu - with the xmen similarities. That old school feeling you got when Linderman talked about the old days reminded me of when I read the New Mutants and Xfactor and would always get that old school feel when they would refer to the original xmen team...the "old" days.

I watched LOST right before Heroes (here in Costa Rica we are a week behind on Lost) and Lost was all about Desmond and how you can't change your destiny. Totally weird that Heroes had the similar theme going on. The way Isaac Mendez accepted his fate. Hiro going to the future and realizing that they failed and then that crazy timeline/clothesline/moble thing in the future Hiros apartment. Maybe future Hiro is trying to trace exactly where it all went wrong - not accepting that it may all have just been fate and that no one was ever able to change it.

Last nights episode was the best tv episode Ive seen in years. It beats anything BSG has done in 3 seasons. The Future episode had a lot of familar plotlines for those of us who grew up reading comics. Some very cool twists (sylar and Peter). It still reminded me of the X-men "Days of Future's Past" storyline that Byrne and Claremont did. Also some shades of V for Vendetta.

The last 3 episodes should be awesome and I cant wait till the DVD for the first season is released! Check out the forums at the Myspace Heroes page or check the offical forums out at NBC.com.

It was so awesome seeing Peter with the scar face off with Sylar, even if we didn't get to see much of the fight. Watching both of them light up different colors just reeks of badassery.

Sadly, I was hoping Claire would be a bit more superhero... all she seems to do is complain it seems.

EDIT: Is it me, or is Peter totally sporting the Neo look. :D Awesome.

Yeah not much she can do when Sylar eats her brain.

Im wondering where Sylar and Peter got the Fire and Ice powers from. I was also very dissapointed in seeing the cop turn bad in the future. Nikki still looked hawt even if she was now Nikki instead of Jessica.

The "Fire power" could either be the one that Claires mum has (literally fire) or it could be Ted Spragues radiation power, he's made his hands glow red a few times.

The ice power is from a person Sylar killed very early on, the parent of Molly, that little girl that Matt found using his telepathic powers for the first time. [/code]

Im betting it was Teds. At this stage, its the only explanation for how Peter could explode, now that they have shown that Peter and Sylar can basically absorb a seemingly endless amount of powers.

What i don't get is, how could Sylar kill Claire when he couldn't manage to kill Peter? Peter regenerated before Sylar could get halfway through cutting his skull off, why couldn't Claire do it?

Because Peter is godlike in his awesome abilities. Is Sylar honestly the antogonist in this story?

- BTW - Peter can simply absorb but as Sylar has to "take."
What happens when Peter absorbs Sylar's abilites? Can he? I dunno. But Peter is the fsking Onslaught of the Heroes universe if you ask me.

Sylar was cutting off peters skull and sylar noticed that it was healing as he did it. When he saw this he stopped for a second and peter had a chance to fully heal and then send sylar flying across the room with a telekinetic push. So Sylar could have done it but his surprise at peters abilities meant he was caught off guard.

Peter has been shown to absorb other heroes powers when he has been close to them when they use their power. I would assume peter would be more than capable of absorbing powers from Sylar, so long as he is close to Sylar when he uses it. So he couldn't absorb all of them at once, only the ones he see's/feels Sylar using

well, last nights episode was kinda ho hum for me. I was kinda impressed with the Sylar stuff, but most of the other stuff just didnt do much for me. I know they have to get to NY for the bomb to go BOOM, but the build up this episode was kinda lame. Next week, though, looked awesome!

I still dont know how Molly being able to just locate someone will allow them to stop Sylar. He might be able to be found, but doesnt mean he wont kick the shit out of whomever is after him. Although, hes gotten his ass kicked a few times by just Peter. (Hes got some awesome powers, though)

Heres to next week!

I'm curious, how did Sylar break the time freeze of Hiro's when he went to cut him? Or did Hiro just lose concentration? Also, was the Petrelli's mother's power ever told yet?

I interpreted that as hiro setting time back in motion to deliver the blow, but seeing Sylar's super-fast reaction time (remember he couldn't open the glass case with the fake sword inside while time was frozen).

Now, if he could teleport with the sword ending in Sylar's chest, that would be the way to do it. Just appear, and twist.
