Note: Had this thought in my head so I decided to throw it on paper. I am aware how short it is, but figured I would post it anyway. Enjoy.

Snowflake
Mute and peaceful, cold and bitter. Decending from the heavens lazy and deliberate, chaotic and determined. The wind a craddling, loving mother as she lays it's fragile form down upon it's crimson soaked bretheren. Melting away, dieing, Mute and peaceful. The warm blood boring a river through the heavy snow that now blanketed the surrounding country side.
It ran like the pulse of a heart, fueled by the gasps of a now slain man. he was in denial, his body was broken yet he refused to admit it. Prostrate, crawling through the winter paradise. His figure only sank further at his efforts.. into a hole of his life fluid. His armor was hewn open in a large gash across his chest.. still he denied it. Reaching for something, anything, he spoke "hel.." a forced breath from drowning lungs.
The boy sat on the tree stump, close but distant. He was leaned over letting the brown curls of his hair obscure a troubled expression. His elbows kept him from toppling over, resting heavily on his knees. Crystal blue eyes fixed on the dagger in his hands which helped to distract him. He was out of place, a heart in a hellish instance. He faced away from the carnage as he spoke compasionate words, "Just end it..."
The corpse had stopped his forward crawl, breathing rasping breaths as he mouthed the words he had begun to chant moments before; Help me. Half of his face pressed into the snowy feild that was attempting to consume him, new flakes sitting curiously on his back as they joined the scene. Deep red blood now trickled from his lips, he was beginning to understand what he was suppose to do.
"He needs to Suffer." A third voice, distant in that it was inhumane. So cold, so bitter, even the frozen winter air seemed to shiver to her words.
The boys eyes closed, his blue irises replaced with a tear. Slow and cold as it's emotional physique traveled the length of his cheek. "Please.."
She faced the boy, narrowed brow shadowing two disks of ink that served as eyes. Silver blonde hair, unhindered, caught high in the frigid breeze. Pale skin, uneffected by the suns touch who now hid behind thick clouds. A darkness creeping over the white feild, a foreshadow creeping over the morbid scene. She turned back to her victim, yanking her 6 foot blade from the blooded snow that collected around it's experienced tip. She strode forward, crushing ice beneath armored boots.
He lay still but for his trembling, ivory lips and the random blinking of fearful, wide eyes. No reaction when she stood towering over him in her wicked armor. No reaction when he felt steel at the base of his neck. No reaction when blackness took his world.
He knew what he was suppose to do.

Thank you for a good read. Stories that length are good for the Herald and then they can look all pretty.
/me expects to read you in the next Herald. No pressure.
