Anyway, I started off my objections to the new rules regarding the library not with this post, but with PMs to Wynna and Twiggy. Since both of them brushed me off by basically saying "you will be alright", I decided to show them what the new rules, as explained to me at the time (prior to the 'two weeks and its ok' addition) would force stories to look like. THAT finally got their attention.

lol... twiggy, in all fairness. I'm not sure you can call it "a riot" and then criticise Mik for being over dramatic.

petty and unnecessary posts about a petty and unnecessary rule provision in what is to become a petty and unnecessary forum. Well, at least we have lots of symmetry.

The rule provision was quite necessary unfortunately. I did forget to address your question or point in the other thread. There was more than one incident and far more than one complaint.

True, but it is just splitting hairs. My post caused the riot which caught your attention. The fact that the post caused a 'riot' and spawned pages of debate in the General Forums is pretty good evidence it was neither petty nor unnecessary, but then, this is ALFA and petty and unnecessary posts abound....

Last I checked, this is the library, not a debate forum. Sometimes folks need to have the Law of Unintended Consequences expressly pointed out to them - I know it helped crystallize things for me. It's no one's fault and it was useful discussion to have - riot or no. It is the continued emphasis on blame and criticism which is dragging us down.

Let's get on with getting those bloody [redacted] things out of the story.

I would remove the redacted things, but I cannot remove all of them yet. While I can certainly remove all the ones emplaced to hide the identities of those with whom Shey was speaking, Inthara and Gryndal, I cannot remove the ones hiding what they were talking about. It is an 'ongoing' plot that people other than the three of them (and maybe one or two others) are unaware of in character.

I quite expected that to be the case. Doesn't mean it's not a higher priority than bickering in this forum and thread.
