Epitaph for Delaruleth

Alas, my friend, I bid thee farewell,
Where thou hast gone, I cannot tell,
But left behind, thine empty shell,
And we who wait in mourning.
Alas, Thy laughter I'll hear no more,
Nor pass the time as once before.
And alone is she thou didst adore,
The darkness her tears adorning.
No more dost thou draw precious breath,
Surrendered now, to Mother Death,
But I shall miss thee, Delaruleth.
My hard heart now is breaking.
Left behind, these empty spaces,
Weeping eyes, and forlorn faces,
All grown cold, once warm embraces,
A tragedy in the making.
*slumps quietly against the harp, his hand covering his eyes.*
Where thou hast gone, I cannot tell,
But left behind, thine empty shell,
And we who wait in mourning.
Alas, Thy laughter I'll hear no more,
Nor pass the time as once before.
And alone is she thou didst adore,
The darkness her tears adorning.
No more dost thou draw precious breath,
Surrendered now, to Mother Death,
But I shall miss thee, Delaruleth.
My hard heart now is breaking.
Left behind, these empty spaces,
Weeping eyes, and forlorn faces,
All grown cold, once warm embraces,
A tragedy in the making.
*slumps quietly against the harp, his hand covering his eyes.*
