Baba Yaga

""Baba Yaga"
We went to the gate
And were running really late
Darkness had fallen quite hard
The smell of the pie
Was making me cry
Naught's worse than a half-blind bard - I mean Minstrel!
Angus and Lora
Had a really dark aura
Just the same as me and Tegrin
We carried a pastry
Didn't look tasty
Made of sewery parts and chitin
We were there to deal
With a Hag so surreal
It seemed likely there would be great drama
She arrived in a mortar
Looked like she'd grant us no quarter
Her name sent a chill - Baba Yaga
Her fame is well known
Yes she looks like a crone
But one who is huge and frightful
Her nose was a spear
Her glance more a sneer
Oh my! She was really an eyeful
We'd had to fight
To get there that night
Tegrin made the bear's head explode
But we had no blade
No matter how hard we prayed
To pierce Baba Yaga's abode
So Alora she spun
A web second to none
She offered our goods, told our saga
The Hag was a-drool
Desired the pie like a jewel
So we swung the deal with Miss Yaga
Then we left with haste
A winged bird I out-raced
Alora she clutched tight our prize
I know we'll see Her once more
At a soiree I'll abhor
Perhaps this song I will have to revise...
