I'm new, and downloading the hak file now. So, to introduce myself, a little humour piece. Mayhap I will post serious stories later... Ahem:

"The Dashing Knight!"

Aha, I cry! The crowd’s aghast!
My fiery sword awes those before it!

Sweet sweat falls on my face,
I revel in the crackling fires ’round me.

Raging, roaring, roasting hairs!
Singed armor grinds and scrapes and twists in the heat of this devil’s inferno.

This Fire Demon can not fight me long!
For all its massive, twisting, flame consumed body, it is evil, and I am good.

No beast of darkness has survived my just wraith!
Good always prevails! Just ask those fairy tales!

Your burning whip has licked my skin with flame,
But my soul remains untarnished!

The crowd is cheering, of course for me!
After all, I saved their mayor last week!

What this! You’re backing down?
No, monsters shall be vanquished without mercy!

I run towards the nefarious fiend, my sword held high-
And, with an epic leap, bring it down upon the evil spirit.

A pause, a stillness, disturbed only by my graceful landing behind the monster;
I turn round, ready for a continued battle, but the evil spirit falls.

Yes! I did defeat the scum!
I mean, of course I won! Did thou ever doubt otherwise?

The demon slain, I fulfilled my quest.
Now I deserve my just reward. Not that I’m greedy or anything.

Wait! You say I can pick my own reward?
In that case, would the princess’s hand in marriage and half the kingdom be okay?

I’m being carried to the town square!
Bards are singing my name in melodious harmony!

My title is now Sir Knight the Great!
I’ve been assured divine blessing!

The princess is covered in sparkling jewels,
And has, if I may say, satisfactory looks.

With all this for me, I truly can ask for no more.
Though I suppose a chest of riches isn’t out of the question…
