Never Refer To Me As Drow

I had written this for my dark-skinned bard, but she died within hours of creation. *sighs* Ah, well. No one evn mistook me for a drow anyway, so I might never have gotten the chance to sing this . . .
My confidence is shaken and I don’t know how
I could be mistaken for a double-crossing, no-good, back stabbing, tone-deaf drow.
Oh, I’ve been labeled wicked it must be understood
But that reviewer also called me fiendishly good.
I remember it well as I sang with such flair.
I made a priest yell and a paladin swear.
So don’t confuse my talent
With traits clearly ungallant.
And please never refer to me as drow!
I much prefer to be renown as gracious and kind
Just playing tunes and playing roles that I’ve been assigned.
I hope that you’ll envision when you next hear a rhyme
A furtive dark-skinned beauty, arousingly sublime.
So don’t think pigment’s sinful
For I have got a skinful.
And please never refer to me as drow!
Oh, I’ll repeat again for all of you right here and now
My confidence is shaken and I don’t know how
I could be mistaken for a double-crossing, no-good, back stabbing, tone-deaf . . .
Okay, tone-deaf is a little strong
Let’s just say . . . they lack eloquent song.
Just please never refer to me as drow!
