Awesome, throbbing, bulbous D&D related movie list

Post by Galadorn »

Hello all,

I'm dry. Movies used up, seen 146 times. Need new stuffz.

Seeing as i'd trust no others than YOU for such a question, it pleases me to ask the following:

Please list off some super cool movies for me to BUY!

D&D related in any way - or not.
Maybe "Fantasy" related would be better...
Steampunk.
Animated or not.
Serious, thriller, suspense, horror....
Comedy (but good).
Action (for sure).
Adventure definitely.

Do not need to necessarily be also appropriate for children.... but can be also.

Anything and everything, so i can jsut get some now movies to watch!

Cheers!

It would help if you list a few movies you liked, so we can expand on that.

Not that I'll be of any use, I always end up recommending classics anyway. It makes me seem erudite.

I did not edit any text.

I did not say I would not pay top dollar for these downloads.

I could care less about what the word erudite means.

Where's my movie list?!?

I thought my interest was pretty clear, maybe you missed this:

Willow is a good one.

Also, I am watching the HBO series Rome at the moment. I actually watched it when it first aired, but my "better half" decided she wanted to watch it so this is what has been on the tele over the past few night.

Id recommend it heartily, if you havent seen it already.

Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus have the luckiest die in the world. I swear every roll they make is a critical for max damage.

Willow?! come oooooooon... gotta do better than that... I can recite the words to Willow from start to finish without stopping in about 10 minutes flat.

My friends and I created 1st level characters once to play PnP based upon the characters in that movie. We had Madmartigan, Willow, Airk, and Sorsha. I think we played until level 5 or so and gave it up. I played Airk.

We used 1st Edition, and Airk was an UNEARTH ARCANA Cavalier...
Who remembers that? hehe... lovin' it.

Gimme something I haven't seen 399 times please! :)

thanks for trying though! :)

hehe

HBO's Game Of Thrones series - three episodes in with a second season confirmed. The Wire is also a very good series - all five seasons.

The author is closely involved so I consider the differences to be a sort of re-writing, presenting the story for film. The differences are minor yet the old axiom remains: the books are better. Still, the show carries the strength of the tale well.

Some great casting has made it a real treat to see these characters brought to life.
