BG Server: Rebuild / Upgrade Date

FYI: The current date for the upgrading of the server's hardware and the reloading of the operating systems is Sunday January 6th.

Hi folks,
As another note, Ronan is planning on backing up the server before we rebuild it and when we do I'll be leaving the old OS build intact so we'll be able to dual boot for awhile. However, being the paranoid type myself I'd suggest being extra cautious and save your valuables on your PC or in persistent chests on other servers a couple of days beforehand.

On your PC is the safest bet, being that it is stored on the central vault. However I'll be backing up local (p-chest) storage too.

When must BG PCs leave BG basically? Today? or Saturday?

I'm planning to take the server offline and get to work on Sunday January 6th around 6am EST (GMT-5).
Expect it to be down for a day or two.

If the server is quiet Saturday night I might get to work early.

You shouldn't have to, but I'd do it just to be safe.
Move it to an account in Switzerland. That's what the "S" in TSM stands for doesn't it?

Winter ... I mean new hardware is coming.
BG's server upgrade is still scheduled for Sunday January 6th at 6am EST (06:00 GMT-5).

If you want RP tomorrow, head for TSM or WHL today.

It sounds like everyone has headed for warmer climes that is going to so I'll be taking BG offline in the next 30 minutes.
The DMs will get to work on the software end of the operation tomorrow.

The module is there, the vault is working and now we just need to install NWN2 and it should be back.

I couldn't finish the install this evening.

We still have some problems with NWNX4 (the launcher program that adds ALFA required features to the NWN2 server).

I'll try to look at it tomorrow if I can.

I restored a db backup from 26 of December. It was the most recent one.

However this looks old and we might have issues with duplicated items has players were asked to get their things in their PC inventories.

Do we need to go back to the old linux drive again ?

Sorry I forgot about that when I copied the ISOs.

Edit: I tried to load the module with a temp password but it wouldn't load. The MySQL plugin does not generate any log so this might be the problem but the nwnx.txt logs says that the plugin loads okay.
