How does a Masterwork Perk become selected if your highest attribute is tied with several others? For example, if you create an item and you have 16 Strength, 16 Intelligence and 16 Dexterity, how does the Masterwork Perk actually dictate, if any, which attribute is used?

One will be chosen at random.

^ this is concerning me.

What exactly does the italics mean?

If a Katana is crafted and is flawed, or “normal successful” (not mastercrafted), will it still get the implied extra mastercraft bonus like the italics says?

Here’s the other issue: I crafted a Katana, using Silver and a potion of fire breath (supposed to add +1 Fire Damage). I succeeded, and actually made a masterwork sword. But, the only bonus to damage at all was the +1 Fire Damage that it got from the potion of Fire breath...
Was my Katana supposed to also get either: “bonus of damage, AC, massive crit, or damage bonus of some sort”, as well? Because it didn’t...
UNLESS the engine considered the +1 Fire damage as the “auto” MC-bonus??

Pretty sure only the two handers actually get a bonus like that, but will check the code.

Even Ace says his only cost 460xp and I'd bet it was not a short sword

Was 80gp normal Katana with Potion FIre Breath and Silver Ingot

Ace's was an ALFA spear, which is low on the scale.

The bigger the weapons.. I.e. Short Sword VS. Katana.. Katana will cost more xp.. ACE said his +1 weapon cost him 460 xp with +1 elemental damage. That's what Kal's should have cost.

Short swords are a better weapon mathematically than ALFA spears however.

Nah,

I suspect it is in the weapon value. That short sword is 20 gp (so 0 to dc). Short spear is probably 20 sp (so -5 to dc).

Xp cost is based off DC.

I see an alchemical adjustment of +3, what were you trying to forge and what exactly is the the issue?
