Proposed Charter Amendment

Post by shad0wfax »

Preamble: ALFA active player population has diminished and with this reduction in active population, interest in administrator responsibilities has diminished. The AlFA Charter was made for a robust population and is highly bureaucratic with a distinct division of powers. With a healthy population, this Charter is ideal. However, without interest in the administrator roles, we will become in de facto villain of our Charter without intervention.

Therefore, the following amendment to the Charter is proposed.

Extant:

Administrators (Admin)
There shall be five ALFA Administrators. Each shall be specifically elected to, and have responsibility for, a particular domain. No one person may administrate more than one domain at a time.

Amended:

Administrators (Admin)
There shall be five ALFA Administrator roles. Administrators shall be specifically elected to, and have responsibility for, a particular domain. Under normal circumstances, no one person may administrate more than one domain at a time; if an Administrator role remains unfilled and there are less than five unique Administrators, then an Administrator may serve in more than one role until an interest in filling that role is expressed by a Member and an election is successfully held to fill that role.

It's a discussion topic.

The charter is linked. The charter discusses when an actual amendment is formally proposed, how and by whom, and how it is voted on.

You should read the Charter.
